Quick Start
The iconic Settle to Carlisle railway line is located on ELR
SAC and LOR
NW9901. An interactive map of the ELR displays marker points at 220 yard (or, one furlong) intervals along its length indicating the mileage. Google Map links for the principal stations and junctions along each ELR are provided - for example, Kirkby Stephen station. Google Map links are also provided every 220 yards along each ELR containing supplementary infrastructure features such as tunnels and viaducts - for example, Blea Moor viaduct. The principal and supplementary features are accessed via the (More…)
link on each ELR page. Further information and examples are contained within the Introduction.
